Suggested ITINERARY

Day 1 UK - ICELAND
Fly UK to Iceland. On arival Airport Transfer to your overnight accomodation.

Day 2 REYKJAVIK
At leisure.

Day 3 REYKJAVIK - AKUREYRI - LAKE MYVATN
Domestic flight by Air Iceland to Akureyri:
On arrival collect hire vechicle before departing for Lake Myvatn.
Leaving Akureyri drive along the magnificant fjord of Eyjafjordur through the valley of Frjoskadalur via the secnic waterfall 'Godafoss' to Lake Myvatn - a protected Nature Reserve - teaming with wild foul and surrounded by mountains - an absolute paradise for nature lovers.
Overnight Lake Myvatn.

Day 4 LAKE MYVATN - HUSAVIK - LAKE MYVATN
Drive to the delightful fishing village of Husavik situated on the North Eastern shores, a typical picturesque Icelandic town. Husavik is without doubt the 'Whale watching' capital of Iceland. Why not take an optional excursion, board one of the boats, and let excitment grip you as you search out Whales. Mink Whales are seen on almost every excursion with some spectalular sightings over the years.

Day 5 LAKE MYVATN - TJORNES PENINSULA - LAKE - MYVATN
From mid June - AUgust it is recommended that 4WD vehcicles are used. Highlights include: Jokulsarglijufur National Park where you can see Iceland's Gran Canyon. Driving around the Tjornes Peninsula. Dettifoss Waterfall which is said to be Europe's mightiest and Asbyrgi, the hose-shoe shapped canyon.

Day 6 LAKE MYVATN - AKUREYRI
Returing to Icelands Northern Capital - Akureyri. Akureyri is situated at the base of one of the most brearthtaking Fjords in all of Iceland - Eyjafordur.

Day 8 AKUREYRI - REYKJAVIK/ KEFLAVIK - UK
After breakfast return hire vehicle back to Akureyri Airport to connect with a morning flight by Air Iceland to Reykjavik City Airport. Then transfer back by 'Flybus' service to Keflavik Airport to connect with your return flight to the UK.
