Whale Watching tour from Ólafsvík Harbour, close to the tip of the scenic Snæfellsnes Peninsula. Come and see whales in a breathtaking area of Iceland and catch a possible view of the famous glacier, Snæfellsjökull. Only few places in the world are better suited for whale watching as the coastal waters off the Snæfellsnes Peninsula. On these tours we set our course for the open sea and keep a sharp lookout for whales. Many species of whales appear off the Icelandic coast in early Summer in search of food and remain here until the end of Summer. They then return south to their breeding grounds. You will also see numerous sea birds, which likewise feed in these rich waters. En route an unforgettable stop at the Bjarnarhöfn Shark Museum, where the old national delicacy “cured shark” is prepared for consumption.
