Narsarsuaq
Narsarsuaq's magnificent setting makes a beautiful introduction to Greenland. Narsarsuaq means 'great plain' and is the gateway to South Greenland, situated on the banks of Eric's Fjord next to the original settlement of Eric the Red and the beautiful Qoorok Glacier. Surrounded by magnificent green fertile mountains, deep crystal blue fjords, calving glaciers, Viking ruins and tiny settlements. with the inland ice cap only kilometres away.
With no road nertwork to speak of, travel is by boat, air and on foot.
