The largest Glacier on Iceland is Vatnajokull and Hofn seats right at the base of it. It is a pretty little town where the basic amenities can be found.

Around Hofn are some of the glaciers which became famous due to Bond movies being shot there.

Activities around Hofn are snowmobiles during summer but depending on the weather conditions this can be done in winter as well.
