DAY 2 Thingvellir National Park – Snæfellsnes
Depart Reykjavík to Thingvellir National Park; an historic and beautiful site, from there we proceed over the mountain pass Kaldidalur to Hraunfossar waterfall and Deildartunguhver, the most powerful hot spring in the world, before heading for the Snæfellsnes peninsula.

DAY 3 Snæfellsnes Peninsula
Explore the magnificent columnar basalt rock formations at Arnarstapi, before circling around the legendary Snæfellsjökull glacier and passing through the village of Stykkishólmur before visiting the Eric the Red museum. Heading across Laxárdalshei∂i to the North through awe-inspiring scenery.

DAY 4 Skagafjör∂ur – Akureyri – Tjörnes
Visit the turf-roofed farmhouse at Glaumbær before heading to Akureyri, the vibrant capital of north Iceland, then on to Go∂afoss waterfall and the stunning Tjörnes peninsula.

DAY 5 Ásbyrgi – Dettifoss – Myvatn
Explore the horseshoe-shaped canyon of Ásbyrgi before continuing to Dettifoss, the most powerful waterfall in Europe in the majestic Jökulsárgljúfur canyon. Then onto the Myvatn area – a paradise for nature enthusiasts - surrounded by lava fields, volcanoes and mountains; the real Iceland of fire and ice!

DAY 6 Lake Myvatn – Sprengisandur
Discover hidden parts of the Icelandic interior as the tour continues inland across the wilderness of the Sprengisandur trail, passing the largest continuous lava field in Iceland, Ódá∂ahraun.

DAY 7 Landmannalaugar – Skaftafell National Park
First stop Landmannalaugar, a magnificent area surrounded by colourful rhyolite mountains with the option of bathing in a naturally warm geothermal pool. From Landmannalaugar, the tour follows the Fjallabakslei∂ interior track to the breathtaking Skaftafell National Park.

DAY 8 Jökulsárlón Glacial Lagoon – Skaftafell National Park
See the birthplace of icebergs at Jökulsárlón Glacial Lagoon and take the optional boat tour among the icebergs. Spend the afternoon hiking through Skaftafell National Park, an area of outstanding natural beauty, dominated by Vatnajökull, Europe’s largest ice cap.

DAY 9 Vík – Dyrhólaey
Proceed over the vast Eldhraun lava fields of Myrdalssandur sands with a stop to enjoy the grat views from Dyrholaey headland. On the way to Hella area, passing two beautiful waterfalls, Skógafoss and Seljalandsfoss.

DAY 10 Geysir - Gullfoss – Blue Lagoon – Reykjavík
Ending with the major attractions in southern Iceland we drive to the thermal area of the great Geysir seething with eruptive hot springs then onto the famous Gullfoss waterfall known as the ‘Golden Falls’ continuing along the south coast and the lunar landscape of the Reykjanes peninsula to the Blue Lagoon where you can have a unique bathing experience!
