About Greenland
Greeland is the worlds largest island. The inland ice covers 85% of the country but the coastal strip free of ice is some 13 times the size of the British Isles. The Arctic flora grows profusely on the coastal strip is reputed to be the best in the whole of the Arctic region

Living along the coast is a population of some 55,000. This huge Island is the homeland of the largest Inuit eskimo population in the World. With their fantastic ability to adapt to the severe climatic conditions and wild nature they have survived where others have found it impossible to live. Mainly by fishing by highly developed hunting technique - throwing weapons from kayaks.

Greenland is the country with magnificent untouched Arctic scenery where mans endeavours for centuries are but a pin prick hardly traceable along the coast and deep fjords where mountains float, where the Midnight Sun brings the white lights from May to July where the curtains of the Northern Lights sweep in violent jerks across the Arctic skies from September to April. The country of happy smiles with people renowned for kindness and hospitality. The land of pure unpolluted, bright clear sunshine, and sparkling frost over endless tracks of snow: Peace and tranquility: A silence of primeval nature.
